Screaming Eagles Wrestling Club Takes First at Grappling on the Gridiron

Clarksville, TN — September 7, 2025 — The Screaming Eagles Wrestling Club (SEWC), based at Renzo Gracie Clarksville, dominated the competition this weekend, earning first place overall at the prestigious Grappling on the Gridiron tournament, held under the lights at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee.

Led by Head Coach T.J. Santiago and Assistant Coach Jack Rutherfurd, the Screaming Eagles showcased grit, skill, and teamwork against a field of 66 teams, finishing with outstanding team accolades:

About the Screaming Eagles Wrestling Club

The Screaming Eagles Wrestling Club is the competitive extension of Renzo Gracie Clarksville’s wrestling program, offering athletes the chance to test their skills in USA Wrestling and AAU-sanctioned events.

At Renzo Gracie Clarksville, our Youth Wrestling program begins as early as age 5, focusing on building balance, coordination, and fundamentals through 60-minute sessions. As students progress, they enter the Juniors Wrestling program (ages 10–18), which features 90-minute classes with advanced techniques, strategy, and conditioning.
