🦁 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 🦁
Clarksville, TN — May 1, 2025 — In response to recent rumors surrounding changes to our striking program, Renzo Gracie Clarksville proudly reaffirms our commitment to offering world-class Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Boxing. Not only is our striking program here to stay—it’s growing stronger than ever.
Our Muay Thai schedule remains unchanged with decorated professional fighter and current ISKA New York Welterweight Champion, Coach Will Calhoun, leading classes at 11:00 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at 6:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Coach Will continues to bring elite-level experience and intensity to every session.
We’re also thrilled to announce the expansion of our Kickboxing program with the addition of Coach Timothy “The Good Soldier” Woods. A former professional MMA athlete and kickboxer from North Carolina, Coach Woods brings over two decades of teaching and training excellence. New Kickboxing classes will now be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM. Saturday Kickboxing at 11:00 AM will continue, rotating among our talented Striking and MMA staff.
And to put the rumors to rest—Boxing is alive and thriving at RGC! Beginning May 5, our 5:00 PM weekday “Beginning Boxing” class will relaunch as “Boxing & Striking Fundamentals.” This dynamic, beginner-friendly class welcomes all ages and blends the basics of boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai into one fun, high-energy format suitable for all fitness levels.
For more experienced students, our Advanced Boxing class continues Monday through Thursday at 6:00 PM under the leadership of USA Boxing Coach and Referee Duane “Ed” Edwards, joined by Coach Patrick Jackson—both dedicated to developing technical excellence and competitive readiness. Students new to boxing should begin with the fundamentals class, with the opportunity to advance upon coach recommendation.
As we expand our striking programs, we are actively growing our competitive teams in Boxing, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing. Interested in competing? Talk to your coach about your next steps on the road to becoming fight-ready.
At Renzo Gracie Clarksville, our Pride keeps getting stronger.
